U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the seventh and final edition of the U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl for the 2023-2024 regular season.

U16 AAA Rankings

The top teams stay steady as they get ready for post-season play.

Players to Watch

Noah Gaudet-Barton (Osahwa Generals): Covers the ice well with a smooth stride and great transitional skating. Couple that with his size and reach, he is a tough opponent to beat off the rush or out of a corner. He can create a lot of turnovers and transitional plays off his ability to knock pucks down and disrupt plays. Gaudet-Barton then can quickly get pucks up ice and follow up the attack creating offense for his team.

Danny Adamo (Niagara North Stars): Has been keeping defenders on their back foot all season. He is a very quick and dynamic player who can attack off the rush well. Defenders will have to respect his speed outside, but also know he has the agility to make quick cuts and dart to open ice. Adamo has good awareness and can then find his teammates with seam passes. Left alone, he has quick hands around the net and can score some timely goals.

U18 AAA Rankings

A strong finish to the regular season keeps the top teams in place.

Players to Watch

Liam Oravsky (Barrie Jr. Colts): Consistently excels in making smart plays and winning faceoffs, showcasing a reliable and versatile skill set in all zones. Beyond his on-ice contributions, his quiet leadership style adds depth to his role, proving vital for team success. As both a robust teammate and a leader, Oravsky embodies qualities of reliability, versatility, and quiet strength, making him a crucial asset both on and off the ice.

Jaden Flora (Niagara North Stars): A crafty offensive player, consistently proving his danger around the goal area. Whether making plays in all situations or seeking open ice, he strategically positions himself for chances, capitalizing on rebounds or turnovers by the opposing team. Flora's defensive prowess is evident in his ability to read and break up plays, showcasing a well-rounded skill set. His versatility and effectiveness on both ends of the ice make him a valuable asset to his team.
