NHL Centennial Fan Arena coming to Tillsonburg

Come see the Stanley Cup and other interactive hockey displays

Thousands of fans are expected to descend on the town of Tillsonburg this weekend as the NHL Centennial Fan Arena will stopping in the town from August 10-12. The event will allow fans to view and interact with the Stanley Cup, the NHL’s championship trophy.

The Centennial Fan Arena is a free event and open to fans of all ages. The main attraction is a 53-foot museum truck with more than 1,000 square feet of interactive digital displays, original video content, historical memorabilia and unique photo moments. The OMHA Events Team is excited to be involved with the event and the interactive Top Shot and Floorball games will be open for all to try.

Visitors will also have a chance to sit on a mini-Zamboni ice resurfacer and participate in the Clear the Ice Zamboni VR Experience and participate in a ball hockey tournament, skills clinic, and family movie night.

“As a community, we're very grateful to the NHL for giving us the opportunity to celebrate this historic milestone with them," said Stephen Molnar, mayor of the Town of Tillsonburg. "We're also grateful to the Tillsonburg Kinsmen Club for their partnership with the Town of Tillsonburg on this event."

Money raised from the weekend’s events will go towards the Tillsonburg Kinsmen Club. Its members are a diverse group of men and women of all ages and backgrounds that come together on a regular basis to “serve the community's greatest need.” There are more than 500 Kinsmen, Kinette and Kin clubs from coast to coast making up more than 6800 members nationwide.

Kin has a proud 97-year history of serving our communities and Cystic Fibrosis. To date, Kin has donated close to $40 million dollars to Cystic Fibrosis research and over $1 billion to Canadian communities.
