CHRGD is once again teaming up with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) to host the 3rd Annual CHRGD Rink Rats Hockey Festival at the Magna Centre in Newmarket from February 20-21. The CHRGD Rink Rats Hockey Festival is one of the more popular events on the OMHA schedule as all 32 spots were filled within two weeks of information being released to the public. The objective of the day is to give 32 Atom (ages 9-10) House League and Local League Hockey Teams an opportunity to compete against each other in a big league tournament setting. Each team will play in a minimum of three games and will also send one representative from their team to take part in the CHRGD Rink Rats Showcase Game.

Off the ice, there will be plenty of fun, interactive games and activities for the entire family in the CHRGD Rink Rats Interactive zone. The OMHA Events Team presented by National Sports and Pro Hockey Life will be in attendance with the Mini-Stick rink and the Matt Duchene Shootout Challenge.

CHRGD has once again secured special guests to attend the Rink Rats tournament with Jesse Sukunda, Julia Schwartz and Ian Duchene of the hit CHRGD series Gaming Show (In My Parents’ Garage) attending as guests of honour on Saturday. Jesse, Julia and Ian will also be signing autographs Saturday morning and afternoon in the CHRGD Rink Rats Interactive zone.

The CHRGD Rink Rats Hockey Festival is a joint effort between the OMHA and CHRGD Canada that provides teams and their families at the House and Local League level an opportunity to attend and participate in an event that is fun, exciting and unlike any other. This memorable event contributes to the development of amateur hockey players at the grassroots level and providing unforgettable experiences for those involved.
