Do you know a volunteer in your hockey community who deserves to be recognized?
The Ontario Minor Hockey Association and Nothers have teamed up for the Volunteer of the Month program – a ‘rookie’ and a ‘veteran’ volunteer will be recognized each month through a profile highlighting their involvement in the game of hockey.
Associations and parents are encouraged to nominate any volunteer in any role – administrator, coach, manager, fundraiser, to name a few – whoever you think helps make minor hockey succeed at your rinks. Two awards will be given out monthly – a ‘rookie’ is someone new to their position within the last two years and a ‘veteran’ has been involved for more than two seasons.
“Nothers is thrilled to announce our partnership with OMHA. Our main goal is to make a memorable experience for all award recipients,” said Jim Nother, President of Nothers The Award Store. “Thank you to the entire team at OMHA for working with us and for the commitment they put into helping grow the sport of hockey, we look forward to celebrating the success of all their athletes.”
“The Volunteer of the Month Award will further put the deserving spotlight the people that make youth sport and minor hockey run every day,” said Ian Taylor, Executive Director of the OMHA. “The time spent behind the scenes to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for players and their families can’t be overstated and we are thankful to Nothers for helping to showcase our volunteers.”
We can’t wait to hear about the stories in your community and showcase the amazing volunteers we have across the province!
Winners will receive a prize pack from Nothers and be profiled on the OMHA site.
