The second annual OHL Under-18 Priority Selection draft wrapped up on Wednesday night for Midget-aged players to be selected by OHL teams.

For the second year in a row, the first overall pick was used on an OMHA player. Netminder Mitchell Weeks of the North Central Predators was chosen by the Sudbury Wolves, joining first overall pick and Newmarket native Quinton Byfield in the OHL Priority Selection just a few days ago. Weeks was the first of six OMHA players selected in the first round.

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association led the way with 18 players from 13 teams, including the first overall pick in Weeks. The Richmond Hill Coyotes had three players selected while the OMHA Midget AAA Champion Ajax-Pickering Raiders had one player drafted. See a full list of all the OMHA players chosen at the bottom of the page.

The draft lasted two rounds with a team receiving a third round selection if they chose a goalie within their first two picks.
