We all know how important the role of Coach is in our communities. Coaches are responsible for using sport to teach children about hard work, teamwork, dedication and a variety of other valuable life lessons. By helping the sport of hockey create the leaders of tomorrow, coaches deserve to be recognized for the countless hours they spend volunteering at the rink.
Coaches played a vital role for players and parents over the last few months. They helped everyone stay connected after the end of last season and kept spirits high. Now they are planning new practices and drills for the upcoming season.
We were overwhelmed with the amount of nominations we received last season for the Coach of the Month award presented by The Coaches Site. The program, now in its fourth year, highlights the impact that coaches have on and off the ice on their players.
Using the form below, we want to hear about coaches who go above and beyond for their players. Criteria for the award will include coaches that instill a positive culture within their respective programs, preach and teach life skills to their players and assist in providing a love for the game and making it a sport their players can’t live without.
A winner will be chosen through every month of the hockey season and receive a coaching prize pack.
