Teams representing the OMHA will challenge for provincial gold at the Ontario Hockey Federation Championships

The Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) Minor Hockey Championships is a three day event that produces OHF Champions at the Atom (A/AA/AAA), PeeWee (A/AA/AAA), Bantam (A/AA/AAA), Midget (A/AA/AAA), and Juvenile divisions.

The OHF Championships take place at the conclusion of every hockey season during the weekend on the second Saturday of April and feature five teams in each age classification. The teams come from across the province’s minor hockey associations.

The Bantam AAA and Midget AAA Championships have already begun while many are still waiting to determine the final teams in each age bracket.

The Whitby Wildcats are well represented, sending teams in Peewee AAA, Bantam AAA and Midget AAA to the OHF Championships. The teams won Red Hats in the Bantam and Midget groups and finished second in the Peewee Championships earlier in the month.

In the Midget AA division, the host Brampton 45s hope that their OHFs end better than their Playdowns did and are looking to win a gold medal.

The highest ranked Juvenile champions from the OMHA, the Ennismore Eagles have rattled off three straight wins are carrying great momentum heading into the OHFs.

The Atom AAA classification features two of the top teams from the OMHA. The Oakville Rangers beat the Niagara North Stars in Playdowns but the two teams will do battle once again.

Finally, the Essex Ravens are represented in the Atom A group. They are the host team in this championship and will look to win gold in front of the home crowd.
