Hutcheson is on a wicked pace right now with nine points in his last five games, five of those points being goals. At 15 years old, Hutcheson already has a next level release that he is able to get off extremely quickly. He is a pure goal scorer who goes to the dirty areas.

Doherty possess great feet and really competes in all three zones of the rink. He is tough to contain when he hits full stride through the neutral zone. Doherty really is at his best when he’s in full stride and backing off defenders.

Players to Watch

Josh Rettinger – Oakville Rangers

Rettinger is a smooth skating defenceman who always seems to have the puck on his stick. Whether he is leading the rush, making an outlet pass, or getting a shot off, Rettinger just always seems to be involved in the play. The Flint Firebirds draft pick also plays physical in his own end and is extremely tough to play against.

Noah Solinger – Grey Bruce Highlanders

The 6’ winger has really impressed of late. While he might not appear on the score sheet every game, Solinger is one of the most defensively responsible forwards in the SCTA. In his own end Solinger is physical, has no problem blocking shots and always seems to get his stick or body in shooting lanes. Solinger defines the Grey Bruce style of play and really fits in well within their system.
