OMHA Pizza Pizza Festival

78 House and Local league teams from across Ontario will participate in the annual OMHA Pizza Pizza Hockey Festival from March 27-29 at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby, Ontario.

Teams from the Tyke, Novice, Atom and Peewee (5 – 12 years old) house and local league divisions will play three games in a round-robin format with no statistics, standings or championship.  This unique festival provides teams and their families at the House and Local League level an opportunity to attend and participate in an event that emphasizes fun over winning and provides an exciting atmosphere outside the arena unlike any tournament they would have participated in before.

“The emphasis for the festival is for players, team officials and their families to have fun, have a great family experience and to make new friends,” said Richard Ropchan, Executive Director for the Ontario Minor Hockey Association. “We will see great, exciting hockey on the ice, and see a lot of smiling faces off ice with the huge fan fest.”

The festival will also include a hockey skills clinic, interactive FUN-Zone with hockey, basketball games, magic shows and later in the night, dancing. Pizza Pizza, the title sponsor for the festival, and will also contribute to the great experience by providing participants a free lunch.
