The Guelph Storm in partnership with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association are pleased to announce a ‘Game Day Coaches Clinic’ for OMHA Coaches on January 12th at the Western Hotel in Guelph.

Game Day Coaches Clinics provide coaches with the opportunity to learn and interact with professional coaches at the junior and pro levels. Interactive sessions will include Game Day preparation, technical and tactical skill development, special teams and offensive and defensive concepts as well as advice on equipment, training & nutrition.

Guelph Storm Head Coach Scott Walker, and Assistant Coaches Bill Stewart and Todd Harvey will lead sessions focused on various areas of player development followed by a Question and Answer Session. Food will be provided courtesy of the chef’s at McCabe's Irish Pub Group before the clinic moves to the Sleeman Centre to watch the Guelph Storm take on the Kitchener Rangers.

Coaches attending the Game Day Coaching Clinic will earn five points towards their coaching certification through the OMHA Continuing Education Program [CEP].  This program is intended to ensure that the knowledge, skill, and competence of trained and certified coaches remain at a high level throughout their coaching experience.
