Thhis season, the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and Desjardins Insurance teamed up again to sponsor 382 hockey teams across the province. Each team was provided with $600 in direct funding in exchange for putting a Desjardins Insurance patch on their jerseys.

The funding helped offset some of the costs that occur during the regular season such as registration, tournament fees, and other expenses.

The program was open to eligible House and Local league teams of any age. As part of the program, teams were encouraged to submit a photo with their local Desjardins Agent with the grand prize winning team receiving an additional $1,000 to use towards their hockey season and the runner-ups each receiving $500.
