Description

  • Forwards and defenceman split opposite sides of the neutral zone. Puck will be with with the forwards on both sides.
  • On the first whistle F1 and F2 will both leave without a puck and cut under the blueline curling up ice together with F2 splitting the faceoff dots.
  • As this is happening D1 is skating with the forwards and creating an angle to pivot and play them to the net 2-on-1.
  • F3 will give a pass to F1 or F2, they will then attack D1 down the ice for a shot.
  • After this shot is taken F3 will dump a puck into the corner where F1 and F2 will have to retrieve it and play a low 2-on-1 against D1 for a scoring chance.
  • Coach will blow a second whistle to finish the low 2-on-1 and then F3 and F4 will leave without a puck and cut under the blueline curling up ice together with F4 splitting the faceoff dots.
  • The next forward in line will toss a puck out for F3 or F4 with D2 skating with the forwards and creating an angle to pivot and play them to the net 2-on-1.
  • After a shot is taken there will be a puck dumped to the corner and now F3 and F4 will have a low 2-on-1 against D2.

Key Points
