With the NHL Draft in the books, teams are welcoming in new prospects into their organizations through development camps. These camps are a balance of on-ice scrimmages and off-ice team building, where players can learn more about the teams and their possible future homes.
Coaches know the importance of team building to create camaraderie among their players. It's a chance for players to express themselves away from the rink and learn about each other and the importance of working together as a unit.
Here are some of the unique ways that NHL clubs helped their newest prospects bond as a team.
The Vegas Golden Knights, Nashville Predators and Dallas Stars gave back to their communities through charitable initiatives.

One of the more popular activities was challenging players to work on skills in other sports. Many teams have other professional sports organization in their city and were able to team up to offer the prospects another opportunity to challenge themselves athletically.
