Theme

  • First 4 shots will be along ice forcing goalies to control rebounds and steer pucks with their sticks.
  • The last shot will be one that can go anywhere and the rebound will be played out.
  • During this drill goalies will be working to push laterally side to side and set for each shot.
  • This drill can be done by using 1 shooter transitioning between pucks or different shooter set up at each puck.
  • Shots will begin starting at 1 and working up to 5.
  • Shots will be alternating between the left and right side making the goalies focus on their movement.

Key Points

  • Goalies should be getting up and set for each shot
  • Focus on rebound control and directing the puck to the corners
  • Shooters focus on shooting for pads and putting them in areas for them to successfully complete the drill.
