Let's see where things stand as we head into the holiday break.
Lachlan Larmand (Barrie Jr. Colts): Drives a lot of play through his high compete level and I.Q. He is a puck hound who will continuously be the first on the forecheck and isn't afraid to take contact to make a play. Larmand sustains a lot of zone time as he wins his share of 50/50 battles and then shows good vision/poise to make a play to an open teammate. Routinely finishes at the net and he gets rewarded as he has good touch and scoring ability. He is a player that can be used and trusted in all situations.
Alexander Forrest (Oakville Rangers): Has excellent mobility whether it is in straight lines or with his lateral movements. With this mobility, it firstly allows him to be efficient with his puck retrievals and breakouts as he gets to pucks quickly and gets his toes up ice. This allows his vision and offensive instincts takeover, as he can get pucks up to his forwards and then activate in the rush as a late option. Inside the offensive blueline Forrest can effectively use his feet to open good lanes to take advantage of with a quick seam pass or shot. He will generate a lot of offensive opportunities both 5v5 and when quarterbacking the powerplay.
Noah Gaudet-Barton (Barrie Jr. Colts): Selected by the Barrie Colts in the U16 Draft last year, Gaudet-Barton is tall, long and mean. Plays a heavy, aggressive game, moves well and shows a simple offensive mindset while manning the blueline.
Cameron Hunchak (Burlington Eagles): A skilled, offensive-minded forward who plays with good pace. Possession style winger with good sense and offensive tools and is a big reason why the Eagles have found so much success in the standings this season.
