U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the first edition of the U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl for the 2024-2025 regular season.

U16 AAA Rankings

A handful of teams are off to hot starts out of the gates, and the high level of competition may mean there's lots of back and forth all season long.

Players to Watch

Brock Chitaroni (Barrie Jr. Colts): A dynamic forward that is a handful for opponents. He is hard to contain due to his speed and how quick he accelerates. Chitaroni uses his skating to effectively get to open ice quickly and attack in stride. Equally impressive is his ability to handle the puck and make plays at speed. He can do this as he can process the game as fast as he plays, allowing him to react to show off his quick release or playmaking ability.

Kieran Raynor (Niagara North Stars): Has excellent compete and he never stops moving his feet. He will be first in on the forecheck and can anticipate very well, creating a lot of chaos and turnovers. Raynor can then switch to offence where he is a danger anywhere inside the blueline. His strength and skill allow him to protect the puck and make high end plays in tight areas. Any space given, he will unleash his shot which is equally hard and accurate.

Players to Watch

Kayden Brand (Markham Waxers): A tenacious, hard working forward with nice skill to match. He may not be the biggest player on the ice but plays with a chip on his shoulder and has impressive one on one skills. The leading scorer on the Waxers quick 2-0 start to the year.

Ryan Cranny (Grey-Bruce Highlanders): The Windsor Spitfires draft pick shows nice hands and vision. Cranny reads the ice well and makes nice plays with space. One of the go to guys in the OMHA West this year and has been finding the back of the net for the Highlanders this season.
