The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) and Biosteel are excited to announce a partnership that will feature the presenting sponsorship of the OMHA U16 Showcase event and player gifts for all AAA players, as well as support for the OMHA’s annual Hockey is Fun tournament and Championships.
The OMHA AAA U16 Showcase is the annual one-of-a-kind event that features all 20 OMHA U16 AAA teams competing under one roof. The Crossover schedule sees teams from the East Conference play games against teams from the West Conference in an action-packed weekend. This is an opportunity for teams to play in front of scouts during their all-important OHL draft year.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex in Bowmanville from November 8 to 10. Biosteel will also be supplying the MVP prizing for each game at the Showcase, with on-site activations for those in attendance.
All U10-U18 AAA players will receive Biosteel products, including water bottles, towels and helmet stickers, as part of the partnership. Each team will have access to unique discounts on online orders to use throughout the season and receive special offers and first-looks at new products.
Biosteel will also be supporting the OMHA’s recreational Hockey is Fun Tournament with product for all players. The weekend in December is for House League, Local League and Select teams of all divisions with the important reminder for all involved that #HockeyIsFun. Dozens of teams will be competing in Innisifil during this fun-filled weekend.
"As a Canadian brand built on the principles of clean, healthy hydration and sports nutrition, we're thrilled to partner with the OMHA and support the next generation of hockey players," said Dan Crosby, Owner of BioSteel. "This partnership is about more than just providing premium hydration and nutrition products—it's about empowering young athletes during pivotal moments in their careers. We're excited to be part of their journey, from the U16 Showcase to recreational tournaments, and to help fuel their performance on and off the ice."
“We are excited to have Biosteel on board with their continued support of minor hockey,” said Ian Taylor, the Executive Director of the OMHA. “Adding Biosteel to our AAA Showcase event will only further enhance the experience for all during the weekend and our players can enjoy their products throughout the season.”
Biosteel will remain a part of the OMHA Championships through player gifts, further adding to the event’s excitement over four weekends in March and April. The Championships will see hundreds of teams and thousands of players competing across the province for the coveted #RedHats prize.
