The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the eighth and final edition of the U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl for the 2022-2023 regular season.

With playoffs set to start next week, here are where teams standing to wrap up the regular season.

U16 AAA Rankings

The Central Ontario Wolves make a late push to enter the top five while the rest of the top teams hold on to their spots.

Players to Watch

Josh Avery (Peterborough Minor Petes): The more you watch Avery, the more you appreciate his game and how much impact he has. A smart centerman who seems to be in the right areas at the right times. He finds open space well and he knows what to do with pucks before it's on his stick. Whether to make a one-touch play, use his feet to exploit space or to quickly shoot a puck on net, Avery will make the right play. He can also play with speed and can be dangerous off transitions or breakouts as he can react well to pressure and does not throw pucks away, rather will find the right play to maintain possession, which will usually lead to scoring chances.

Brady Smith (Halton Hurricanes): A strong forward with soft hands. He can play with players on his back and either hold up the play to find an open passing lane, or take pucks inside where he drives the net or uses his heavy shot to pick a corner. He has grown his confidence when carrying the puck and is dangerous if given any extra space. Without the puck he can be disruptive on the forecheck with heavy hits and a good active stick that can knock down pucks so his team can maintain lots of offensive zone time.

U18 AAA Rankings

The back and forth in the top spot between Burlington and Barrie went on all season, and this final rankings was no exception.

Players to Watch

Liam Oravsky (Barrie Jr. Colts): Centreman who has become a power forward as the season has progressed. He has expanded his comfort zone and has came into his own as a leader both on and off the ice. Oravsky plays hard in both ends of the rink and is a true 200-foot player. He uses his strong, fluid skating style to be an offensive threat every time he is on the ice. He has a very high hockey IQ and his great hockey vision make him and his teammates better. He is an excellent skater and that makes him very hard to play against night in and night out.

Kyle Burton (Burlington Eagles): A dynamic offensive player and a danger every time he steps on the ice. He is a great skater, using his speed, agility and mobility and aggressive physical play to put defenders on their heels every shift. He has a fantastic shot and release, being able to shoot when one timer and when in full stride. He is a versatile winger as he plays both sides equally well, and has grown into a leadership role as he is a member of the Eagles leadership group. He makes his linemates better players and uses his overall game to raise the level of play every night.
