To be a sport official is to view the sport from angles that emphasize integrity, fairness and decisiveness in an environment that doesn’t always exude the same values. The Ontario Sport Network’s Officials Program aims to address and bring awareness to, barriers that impact retention and recruitment of sport officials across Ontario.

The Official’s Bursary Program is a program administered by the Ontario Sport Network to provide financial support to new and returning sport officials to assist with costs associated for the 2022 season / year. This new program allows applicants to submit costs for completed and successful courses / clinics (initial certification or re-certification) and/or costs for equipment, uniforms or supplies for reimbursement of 50% up to a maximum of $500 of eligible costs.

Each application will be reviewed and evaluated accordingly. Pending eligibility of each application received, funds will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

Those who have taken and completed a sport official course / clinic or incurred costs with their role between January 1, 2022 and October 15, 2022 are encouraged to apply.

October 5th Update: Applications have been closed.
