With the season on pause during March Break this gives us a time to take a look at the Qualifiers standings to see how things may shake out once games resume. It will be a fast and furious pace for teams to punch their ticket to the OMHA Championships presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario. With #RedHats now looking closer in reach, keep an eye on these teams over the coming weeks.

Lakeshore League: U12 AA Peterborough Minor Petes
After an up and down regular season, this group of Minor Petes has found their stride and are streaking in Qualifiers. With a spot at OMHA Championships now on the line the Minor Petes are hoping to continue to outpace their opponents on the scoreboard and be one step closer to #RedHats.

WOAA: U18 Tier 3 BCH Shallow Lake Lakers
The Lakers didn’t have the opportunity to get many regular season games under their belt but have proven to be a force so far in Qualifiers. Now in a series against Drayton to punch their ticket to the OMHA Championships, the Lakers had limited action against them so far but have proven to be defensively sound. They will look to stick to the gameplan and keep the ball rolling.

SCTA: U14 AAA Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs
Coming into the Qualifiers round as the lowest seed in their bracket the Jr. Bulldogs find themselves tied at the top at the current March Break pause. With a game still in hand this group could be ready to shock their division and earn a ticket to their OMHA Championship weekend. Let’s see if they can keep their momentum.
