The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the sixth and final edition of the U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl for the 2021-2022 regular season.

Teams are now battling in League Qualifiers to punch their tickets to the OMHA Championships that are less than a month away. Where did teams stand at the end of the regular season?

U16 AAA Rankings

Players to Watch

Jack Good (Markham Waxers): A skilled player with great awareness and playmaking ability. He loves having the puck on his stick, where he likes to control the play. He has great poise, allowing him to draw in defenders to open up passing lanes to find his teammates in prime scoring areas. Good knows how to get inside and be around the net as he finds a lot of loose pucks and has excellent finish. He is a slippery player and someone opposing teams will have to be aware of when he is on the ice.

Christopher Soares (Halton Hurricanes): Uses his skating and skill to put defenders on their back foot. When he attacks with the puck he can go wide or cut inside to use his quick release. Without the puck he shows strong compete to close time and space and uses his stick and body positioning to separate pucks whereby he can quickly transition for scoring opportunities. Soares is a leader offensively, and a player that can play in all three zones.

U18 AAA Rankings

Players to Watch

Andrew Botting (Kingston Jr. Gaels): Has become a complete offensive threat in his final season in the OMHA. The 2004, 6'0", 175lb C/LW led the ETA U18 AAA league with 23 goals and 17 assists for 40 points in 27 games this season. He uses his high hockey IQ and superior puck skills to be a dangerous offensive threat every time he is on the ice. Those offensive skills, as well as mental and physical maturity has allowed his game to blossom.

Keaton Stock (Burlington Eagles): The kind of player every U18 team wants. The 6'1" centre captains the Eagles and is truly a player for any situation. He has embraced the role of shutdown centre and is one of the best penalty killers in U18. His work ethic and commitment are second to none as he leads by example both on and off the ice. His attention to detail in each area of the game makes him a great junior prospect and will lead Burlington into the OMHA playoffs.
