The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the second edition of the U16 and U18 AAA Top 5 Rankings presented by Hudl for the 2021-2022 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule.

With a few games now under everyone's belts there are teams starting to separate themselves from the pack.

The Red Devils stay hot and keep the top spot on the rankings again. The Waxers make their debut in the Top 5, bumping a Hurricanes team that has lost two in a row. The North Stars and Express keep pace.

Dean Deligeorgis (Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs): A player that drives a lot of offence for his team. He has a good IQ in the offensive zone whereby he puts himself in smart positions to get the puck. He is able to slip behind defenders to gain position and then uses his hands and skill to create opportunities on net. With his small area game and ability to finish he will be tough to contain. 

Ethan Toms (Quinte Red Devils): Has a nose for the net and if given any time can make you pay. He has a very good first touch with the puck that allows him to control it and set it up for a quick play or shot on net. He is dangerous off the rush, where he handles the puck at speed and can gain the offensive blueline with ease. From here defenses have to respect his shot, whereby he can release it in stride, or he utilizes his awareness and can find his teammates on delays or with nice seam passes. 

The Raiders and Generals continue to hold the top two spots and have proven to be tough teams to beat. The Highlanders keep climbing and the Red Devils and Jr. Gryphons rise as well.

Quinton Page (Peterborough Minor Petes): A dynamic forward who raises the level of game with everyone he plays with. The 5'9" Kincardine native is dominant in both ends of the rink. His 200-foot game has Page as a dependable defender in his own end and he uses his tremendous puck skills and vision to be an offensive threat every time the Minor Petes have the puck. His high hockey IQ maximizes his effectiveness in every area of the game.

Matteo Caruso (Barrie Jr. Colts): An imposing figure in the Jr. Colts goal. The 6'4" Burlington native uses his large frame and lateral quickness to defend his goal and frustrate shooters. With above average lateral movement and an imposing frame in the goal, opponents are often left shaking their heads after one-on-one showdowns. He challenges shooters and handles the puck as well as any 2005 goaltender at the U18 level.
