Details on motion that was approved at AGM

Following the motion that was passed at the 2021 OMHA Annual General Meeting by the voting membership, more freedom of player movement will be allowed this season at the AAA level.

There are different applications of the ruling that apply to the U10-U13 AAA age group and the U14-U16 AAA age group. This motion is not applicable to U18 AAA.

The motion applies only to OMHA Associations and players trying out at the AAA category in their own age division. It does not apply to players trying out at older age divisions.

As a result of the motion, previous Permission to Skate (PTS) forms can no longer be used at the U14-U16 AAA age group. AAA Centres will now also be required to complete a PTS for their players if the player is intending to exercise their option to try out outside of their home AAA Centre.

If you are interested to see how this change may affect your player, we ask that you please reach out to your home centre, as they will help guide you through the correct process.
