FlipGive, OMHA Announce Hockey Fundraising Partnership

By Ontario Minor Hockey Association, 07/08/20, 10:45AM EDT

Limited-time $500 Bonus for Associations

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association and FlipGive, a Toronto-based free fundraising platform used by thousands of sports teams, schools and community causes across North America, have partnered to help make the next season of hockey more affordable for all parents.

FlipGive is a free team funding platform that allows teams to invite parents and supporters such as grandparents to earn cash back for online shopping and gift card purchases to help with an eventual return to sport. In 2019, over 3,500 hockey teams in Ontario raised nearly $1.2M dollars on FlipGive, and with this partnership hope to bring a modern and simple fundraising solution to every hockey team in Ontario.

Associations are invited to get started today at, where you can book a call with a FlipGive coach to get your Association setup for success this year and start earning this summer. For a limited-time you can earn a $500 Association referral bonus when signing up all teams. Individual teams will also qualify for a separate bonus.

“As a hockey parent, I’m so excited we’re getting closer to the eventual return to the sport. As a hockey coach, I signed up for FlipGive last year and watched our team raise over $2,000. At a time when virtual fundraising is replacing what we can do in-person, we think parents will love watching their team earnings add up starting right now in the pre-season with each online purchase from retailers you already shop with,” said FlipGive VP Growth Sam Menard.

“FlipGive is the industry leader in sport fundraising with deep roots in the hockey community. We are excited to welcome FlipGive  to our family of partners that align with our core values and commitment to community sport,” said Ian Taylor, Executive Director with the OMHA. “FlipGive will have a tremendous impact on reducing the cost and making fundraising easier than ever. ”
