It’s hard to believe it’s already time for the finals of Playdowns. Feels like we blinked and the season went by. This is what teams have been working so hard for over the last months and they’ve reached the final test of their season. Now the ultimate prize awaits the winners in OMHA Playdowns Teams to Watch, presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario.

Remember to share your team’s Playdowns experience by tagging #RedHats and @HometownHockey and @GetCracking.

Atom A – Innisfil Winterhawks: The Winterhawks found their offensive spark in the semis and have suddenly become a force that will be tough to contain. They met up with the Riverside Rangers last year and came out on the losing end so they will be looking for revenge against the same club. They’ve allowed just five goals in their last three games and will need to keep up the effort on both ends of the ice.

Peewee DD – Douro Dukes: The Dukes like to live on the edge, earning victories in Game 5s in back to back rounds. Whatever teams throw at them the Dukes seem to be able to manage. They’ve seen it all during Playdowns and are ready for whatever comes their way. Douro can never be counted out.

Minor Bantam AE1/2 – Halton Hills Thunder/Northumberland Nighthawks: Two offensive powerhouses that have had similar paths to the Playdowns finals now face off to determine who will walk away with #RedHats. Though unfamiliar with each other during the year, both teams appear to be evenly matched. Prepare for a lot of goals and excitement.

Bantam CC – Dundalk Storm: The Storm had an up and down first half of the regular season but have since found their stride and turned it on in Playdowns. They now find themselves just six points away from #RedHats. Dundalk has locked in, playing defensive hockey to go one step ahead on the scoreboard. The finals of Playdowns won’t be easy and the Storm will have to earn it.
