Newhook, McMichael lead newest draft class

The OMHA is very proud of its five alumni who were chosen in the 2019 NHL Draft over the weekend and are now one step closer to their NHL dreams. The four forwards and goalie look to make an impact in the next phase of their hockey dreams.

There were 21 players selected from Ontario, which led all provinces and states in draftees. Player development during the formative years of a child's time in minor hockey is important in creating a long-term passion for the game. Making a positive experience for all players involved in the game helps build a lifelong love of hockey.

We wish all of our alumni the best of luck in their futures on and off the ice.
