Four strategic objectives to drive our vision

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association is excited to announce its Business Plan for 2019–2024 to help guide the organization’s efforts in the upcoming five years.

“I am proud to announce our strategic plan 2019-2024. Our four strategic objectives will advance the sport and will drive our vision to be 'Leaders in Community Sport,'" said OMHA President Bob Hill. "As you explore the Plan in greater detail, you will see that it outlines our ambitions through four key strategies. Recognizing the scale of the task at hand, we have identified areas that we feel have significant transformational potential.”

“Thank you to the many stakeholders who have collaborated in the development of our Business Plan," said OMHA Vice-President - Central District and Committee Chair, Peter Harmsen. "As partners in hockey, we recognize the significant role all stakeholders will play in executing the Plan. We look forward to working with the entire hockey community to create the best minor hockey experience in Canada.”

As announced at the AGM, the plan to continue to grow our membership and monitoring progress is highlighted.

“The plan will provide our organization with a road map to make our game better," said OMHA Executive Director Ian Taylor. "It will guide our decisions, actions and interactions into the future and will create a framework for resource allocation across the organization.”

The Business Plan consists of four strategic objectives that include details on how each will be achieved and how success will be measured.

1. Grow the Game

Ensure hockey continues to be the sport of choice for active families in Ontario by investing in programs that focus on the recruitment of new players and the retention of existing players.

2. Revenue Generation

Diversify revenue generation to better support our strategies and organizational effectiveness.

3. ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Transform the organization to deliver on strategic initiatives while meeting our mission.

4. Tell Our Story

Enhance our member value proposition.
