The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Peewee AAA team are your Ontario Winter Games hockey gold medallists!

It was a great way to cap off an exciting weekend for the team who competed over four days at the Mnjikaning Arena Sports Ki in Orillia. Going 1-1-1 in pool play was enough to advance Hamilton to the semis where they edged out the Sun County Panthers.

The eight-team tournament is part of the Ontario Winter Games that take place every two years. Provincial athletes aged 12 to 18 qualify through a regional selection process conducted by their sport organizations. The Barrie Jr. Colts were the other OMHA team competing in the Games.

Goaltender Ben Rossi had the honour of carrying the Men's Hockey Flag to lead in all of the athlete's competing in the hockey category in the opening ceremonies and parade that featured over 3000 athletes.

The Ontario Games Program started in 1970 in Etobicoke as a showcase for amateur sport. It has now become Ontario's largest multi-sport event, including both team and individual sports.
