The holidays are a time when communities come together and helping make their neighbourhood a better place. Many OMHA teams gave back to their communities through ways like food drives and donations. The OMHA is so proud of the efforts of all of our teams for knowing the values of respect and community.
Here are some of the submissions we have received over the last few weeks.

The Winterhawks ended up donating over $3100 to Food4Kids and also made a donation to Breast Cancer with the proceeds of a 50/50.
The Whitby Wildcats Minor Atom AA boys donated over 22 boxes of food for families in need in Durham Region. They discovered the holiday spirit by collecting non-perishable food items at each of their hockey practices in November and December. They happily delivered their collection to the firehall and received a tour. The boys were able to reflect on the importance of giving during the holiday season.
