The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the fourth edition of the Minor Midget & Midget AAA Top 5 Rankings Powered by Under Armour for the 2016-2017 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule.

With every team now a few weeks into the season, things are starting to settle in the rankings. Here is the third edition of the rankings.

Minor Midget AAA Rankings

4 Quinte Red Devils (10-2-1) 3 3
5 Ajax-Pickering Raiders (7-1-2) 5 3

Players to Watch

Cameron Supryka (Quinte Red Devils) -  A smooth skating defenceman that is turning a lot of heads with his solid two-way game. Supryka has very good size, excellent edge work and is relied upon in all situations. Not many defencemen move the puck up to his forwards quicker than he does.

Lucas Peric (Halton Hurricanes) - Peric is willing to engage physically and is another smooth skating defenceman who makes life a lot easier on his goaltenders. He has good offensive vision and gets the majority of his shots to the net.

Midget AAA Rankings

Rank Team Previous Rank Weeks Ranked
1 Markham Waxers (5-0-1) 3 3
2 Central Ontario Wolves (5-3-2) 1 3
3 Clarington Toros (6-3-0) 2 4
4 Oakville Rangers (7-0-0) 4 4
5 Niagara North Stars (3-2-1) 5 2

Players to Watch

Andrei Berezinskiy (York-Simcoe Express) - Berezinskiy is an athletic goalie who gives York-Simcoe a chance to win every time he steps inside the crease. While he may be a little undersized for a goalie, Berezinskiy makes up for that with great reflexes, incredible athleticism and a will to win that is unmatched.

Jaleel Adams (Niagara North Stars) - Adams is a powerful forward who has a knack for putting the puck in the net. He has set the pace for a strong Niagara offence and is a huge reason why Niagara is off to a strong start. Adams isn’t the biggest or fastest player but always finds himself in positions to contribute offensively. The puck seems to follow Adams and he is a threat to put Niagara on the score board every time he has any kind of time or space.
