Counting down the best hockey moments from 2015

There are many memorable moments that happened on the ice in 2015. From amazing saves to incredible stick handling skill, the sport gave us so much of what we love to see. We've captured 10 of the best quick clips from this year from across the hockey world.

Kyle Turris dangles around defender

The forward for the Ottawa Senators puts the spin cycle on the defenceman to set up his teammate for the goal. Those handles deserve a stick tap.

Jonathan Toews lifts the Stanley Cup

There is no bigger prize in the sport of hockey than the Stanley Cup and the emotion is evident in the face of Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews. The captain won his third Stanley Cup but it looks just as sweet as the first.

Jonas Hiller saves a goal with his stick

Calgary Flames goalie Jonas Hiller made one of the saves of the year with a fantastic stick save against the rival Edmonton Oilers.

Only one hand is necessary

Sometimes you get tangled up and have to improvise. That's what Vladimir Tarasenko did in the playoffs, keeping the play alive and scoring a one-handed goal.

Never give up on a play

One key lesson across all sports is to never give up on a play. That's the advice Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick took to heart, flipping on his back and stretching out his arm to make a key save.

Living in the moment

It can be tough to hide your happiness after scoring a key goal in the playoffs, and Ondrej Palat shared the joy with his teammates.

Another great one

In what seems to be a yearly custom, Alex Ovechkin still managed to score a goal while on his knees falling down.

Carter Hutton uses the paddle

The backup goalie for the Nashville Predators makes an unbelievable stick save on the goal line to keep the puck out of the net.

Impossible angle

In the NCAA Frozen Four, Chicago Blackhawks prospect Luke Johnson scored from a nearly impossible angle for the University of North Dakota against Boston University.

Longest game in history

Marcus Kruger scored for the Chicago Blackhawks in triple overtime in the Western Conference Finals in the longest game in franchise history. His reaction says it all.
