OMHA Announces Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the ninth and final edition of the Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM for the 2014-15 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule. The boys from the York Simcoe Express hold onto the top spot in the rankings this week. Continuing on their impressive unbeaten streak it is going to take a lot for a team to knock these guys off moving into OMHA Playdowns. The Barrie Colts jump into the second slot after posting an impressive record throughout the month of January. Things are shaping up, which will lead to great post season.  Rounding out the top five spots are the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs, the Clarington Toros and a return of the Southern Tier Admirals.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Mitchell LarabieKingston Jr. Frontenacs - Mitchell is the prototypical power forward who possesses great size speed and skill. Mitchell always plays hard on the puck and continually takes puck to the net with extreme drive and purpose.  This ultimately leads to a lot of offensive opportunities for his line mates.

Braeden HendersonBarrie Colts - Braeden is an extremely gifted offensive defenceman who has the ability to not only make plays but make them under situations of duress. Henderson has the ability to control the game and to dictate the pace of play with not only his skating but also with his high hockey iq and play making ability.

Tanner MainSouthern Tier Admirals - Main’s mobility makes him an extremely exciting player even when he doesn't have the puck as no player on the opposition is safe when he's in the area. He consistently shows a willingness to throw his weight around and alter the momentum of the game with physically punishing body checks. He is a hard-hitting, hard shooting, in your face, defenseman with offensive instincts.
