OMHA Announces Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the eighth edition of the Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM for the 2014-15 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule. Staying hot throughout January the York Simcoe Express remain in the first overall position. An impressive 17 game streak without a loss has the boys from York Simcoe looking like strong contenders as the post season approaches. Right on the tails of York Simcoe are the boys from the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs. Look for some tough battles down the stretch as the Bulldogs look to remain atop the SCTA. Rounding out the top five spots are the Barrie Colts, the Clarington Toros and the Grey Bruce Highlanders.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Carson Ricca – North Central Predators - Carson has really developed nicely over the past year and has really become a dominant force in net in the ETA. A true competitor who never quits on any pucks, Carson has great fundamental skills and positioning in the crease.  He also has great quickness and feet which allows him to not only take away much of the lower part of the net but also to react to make second and third opportunity saves for his team.

Dawson Baker – Quinte Red Devils - Dawson is blessed with all the skills and abilities to be a dominating forward in ETA.  Great skater, vision, hands and touch around the net, there is really no situation that he cannot be played in. The nice thing with Dawson is that he does plays all three zones on the ice well, which makes it difficult for any opposition when playing a game vs. the Red Devils

Adam McMaster – Niagara North Stars - McMaster demonstrates elite playmaking skills. He has a remarkable ability to elude checks and absorb contact well when he doesn't.  His powerful skating stride and silky hands allow him to make dynamic plays few can match.
