OMHA Announces Minor Midget AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the ninth edition of the Minor Midget AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM for the 2014-15 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule. The Red Devils continue their reign at the top of the league. Suffering their first regular season loss at the hands of the Whitby Wildcats, the Red Devils will need to respond well to finish out the season. Peterborough continues to stay right on pace with the Red Devils and will look to continue their winning ways. Going unbeaten in their last 10 games the Jr. Petes find themselves hanging in at the second spot. Rounding at the top five are the York Simcoe Express, Halton Hurricanes and newcomers to the scene, the Oakville Rangers.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Quinn had an excellent showing in the Peterborough tournament this past weekend and is also leading the way for the Jr. Petes team who are hot on the heels of the Quinte Red Devils. Hanna is a tough defender that no one likes to meet in the corner. He also displays a blistering shot from the blueline to chip in with the offence.

12 points in last 5 games should say enough but all Lee does is score. Leading his team by a large margin with 42 points, Lee is lethal in tight with 25 goals in only 27 games. He has helped the Highlanders to stay right in the thick of things heading into the post season.

Evan might be the most pure offensive defenseman in the SCTA. He has 15 goals to lead his team in scoring and has been excellent since the Christmas break.  A strong skating ability and a great knack for jumping into the rush propels his offence attack.
