Hamilton Bulldogs announce online jersey auction

The Bulldogs Foundation announced details for an online jersey auction in support of the Marcus Cirillo Trust.

The online auction is open now on www.bulldogsauction.com and will run until Sunday, Dec. 7 at 8:00 p.m. If last-second bids are being submitted, the closing time will be extended by two minutes per bid.

Anyone wishing to participate in The Bulldogs Foundation online jersey auction must first obtain a username and password to www.bulldogsauction.com to use when bidding. (Note: this procedure only needs to be completed once and you must provide credit card information – VISA, MasterCard or American Express.) Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the auction. You can bid right on the website after you sign up by selecting the item you want to bid on and following the onscreen instructions. Each increase in bidding must meet or exceed the minimum bid increment of $5. Bidders are expected to honour all winning bids.

All bids must be placed electronically on the website which can also be accessed via your mobile device. For further information on the Bulldogs Foundation jersey auctions, please contact 905-529-8500 or email.

Items for the Marcus Cirillo charity auction include:

  • Game-worn and game-ready commemorative Bulldogs jerseys, helmets and pant shells from the upcoming Friday, Dec. 5 game versus the Toronto Marlies
  • A Reebok replica Hamilton Bulldogs home jersey autographed by country music singer-songwriter Eric Church
  • A VIP backstage tour of the Hockey Night in Canada Studios for up to 10 people
  • A pair of tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Montreal Canadiens on April 11th.

The special commemorative jerseys were designed in conjunction with representatives of the Cirillo family and SP Apparel, and are a tribute to Cpl. Cirillo’s ceremonial attire with the cap and badge of his regiment on the shoulder and pant shell. The team will also wear black helmets donated by Reebok-CCM.

Prior to the game, the Bulldogs will honour the late Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and the service and sacrifice of all of those that serve in the Canadian Armed Forces as part of the club’s Military Appreciation Night. In addition to the proceeds from the jersey auction, the Bulldogs will donate $2 to the Marcus Cirillo Trust from every individual and group ticket sold to the Dec. 5 game.

If any individuals or businesses are interested in donating tickets for members of the Canadian Armed Forces to attend the game, please contact Brittany Arner at 905-546-8182. The public can donate to the Trust directly by going to a TD Bank branch and asking to give money to the ‘Marcus Cirillo Trust’.
