OMHA Announces Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has released the fifth edition of the Bantam AAA Top 5 Rankings Presented by CCM for the 2014-15 regular season. These rankings will be released on a bi-weekly schedule. Leap frogging back into the top spot are the boys from Hamilton. The Jr. Bulldogs are coming off two convincing wins and are looking poised going into the holiday season. After losing two games in a row for the first time this season, the North Central Predators see themselves dropping back in to second place. Expect some changes in the next couple of weeks as teams start to make strong pushes as the Christmas Holidays approach. Rounding out the top five respectively are the York Simcoe Express, the Southern Tier Admirals and the Clarington Toros.

Players to Watch

Anthony Tremonte – Southern Tier Admirals – Anthony is an extremely athletic goaltender who seamlessly moves around his crease and goes post-to-post with ease. With the aforementioned athleticism, Tremonte does a fantastic job taking away the lower half of the net.

Rhys Forhan – York Simcoe Express Rhys is an extremely gifted and powerful skater who really makes it look effortless and uses that ability to generate offensive changes for not only himself but his teammates as well. Forhan is a dominant forward in the league, which is quite remarkable considering he only transitioned from D to forward last season. He is blessed with great hands, a high hockey IQ and knows how to find the back of the net. A true competitor in all three zones of the ice, Rhys has played an instrumental role in the success of his team this season.

Jack Wismer – Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs – Wismer is a player who always plays with his heart on his sleeve. Never one to take a night off, Jack plays a gritty game and does not shy away from the physical aspect of the game. His tenacity in the offensive zone is what he relies on to create offense and so far the success is evident.
