Registration is now open for the 2014 OMHA Annual General Meeting [AGM] on Friday June 13-14th at the Sheraton Parkway North Hotel in Richmond Hill. 

The OMHA AGM is the largest minor hockey annual general meeting in the world. Delegates from across the OMHA will meet to discuss the past year`s accomplishments, issues, initiatives and more. During these meetings, revisions to OMHA by-laws and regulations for the upcoming season are also addressed. 

The weekend will kick off with the sixteenth OMHA Golf Tournament which will be held at Wooden Sticks. All proceeds from the tournament go towards the Minor Hockey Foundation of Ontario. Following the Golf Tournament, Association Presidents will assemble and exchange ideas at the first ever OMHA Presidents’ Symposium, hosted by CBC Radio personality, Dan Pollard. The event will engage discussion on multiple issues surrounding the game of hockey. All Association Presidents are encouraged to be a part of this innovative and important event voice and opinions and share best practices with their peers from across the OMHA.

Friday evening will play host to the second annual OMHA Dinner and Awards evening. Breakfast Television host and minor hockey dad, Kevin Frankish will emcee the event that highlights the accomplishments from the past year and recognizes individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the OMHA.

The OMHA has once again offered the private sector and corporate Canada the opportunity to promote, display, sample their products or services at the Hometown Hockey Consumer Show taking place throughout the weekend. This year’s exhibitors include fundraisers, artists, equipment manufacturers, hotel chains, trophy manufacturers, restaurant franchises, financial services and memorabilia companies.

On Saturday morning, following the Annual General Meeting, over 75 OMHA Championship Teams will parade through the AGM in front of 4,500 people. Master of Ceremonies, Andy Frost and Don Landry will be on hand to announce each team and recognize the accomplishments from the past year of hockey.
