Winners Announced in the 2014 Penalty Free Sweepstakes

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario today announced the prize winners of the 2014 Penalty Free Sweepstakes from the entries that were received province-wide.

The Penalty Free Sweepstakes celebrating its 27th year, is a promotion created by the members of the Hockey Development Centre for Ontario to encourage skills, safety, and sportsmanship in Canada’s most popular sport.

“The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario is extremely pleased with the response to this year’s Sweepstakes contest, commented HDCO Chairman Wayne Salatino. Everyone in amateur hockey who encourages penalty free hockey should be commended for advocating the ideals of skills, safety and good sportsmanship through this valuable program.”

In addition to the prize-winning teams, each member on every team who entered during the contest period will receive a memento along with discount coupons from Pizza Pizza. In conjunction with the Sweepstakes program, 10 Penalty Free MVPs, nominated by their coach and selected in a random draw, will receive a family pass to The Hockey Hall of Fame, a McDonald’s Mac-a-Month for a Year Voucher and a special MVP trophy.

The members of the Hockey Development Centre for Ontario would like to extend our congratulations to all our athletes who have demonstrated their support by playing penalty free hockey. The HDCO also extends appreciation to the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and to all our corporate partners in the program for making the 2014 Penalty Free Sweepstakes such a great success.
