Vote Now for Jon Abrams in Hockey Night In Canada #SongQuest Competition

CBC Music and Hockey Night in Canada are on the hunt for Canada's next great hockey song. The winning tune will be featured in a prime-time montage opening a Hockey Night in Canada broadcast. If you've got a heart-pounding, inspirational track in your catalogue (or in your head), here's your chance to score that music milestone!

Hockey Night in Canada Song Quest is looking for songs that celebrate what hockey is about: teamwork, commitment, hard work and going for the goal. (Think Journey’s "Don’t Stop Believin’," BTO’s "Takin’ Care of Business" or Hedley’s "Invincible").

Jon Abrams is excited to enter his rocking hockey song "For The Love Of The Game" into the "Hockey Night In Canada #SongQuest Competition"

"For The Love Of The Game" is a catchy, rocking tune that tells a captivating hockey story and captures the spirit of playing with heart and hometown pride.

Jon released his hockey song "For The Love Of The Game" last fall at a charity fundraiser that raised funds for The Minor Hockey Foundation of Ontario and the local Milton General Hospital.

For the past year, his song has been played by players and families during rides to the rink, between periods at Milton arenas and in dressing rooms.

Jon has also posted a tune he wrote and recorded after the trick or treeting wrapped up called "We Go Insane". It can't be entered in the contest but he'd love to hear what you think:)

Jon is a proud Canadian who grew up playing hockey in his hometown of Gananoque, Ont. He's also an average men's league hockey player and a dedicated hockey Dad who writes a song now and again.

Skate Hard and Take Chances! And remember to Vote for and Like Jon's tune for the Hockey Night In Canada #SongQuest Competition.
