Since January 2001, the Canadian Federal Government has applied the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Document Act [PIPEDA] to personal information of clients and employees in the federally regulated private sector.  As of January 1st, 2004 this legislation applies to all organizations in Canada, whether federally or provincially regulated, that collect, use or disclose personal information about their members, customers and clients in the course of commercial activity.

The OMHA is committed to comply with PIPEDA and in this regard has designed policies and procedures to protect the privacy and security of all personal information collected, used or disclosed by the OMHA for the purpose of running its "Hockey Programs".
