Louis Breithaupt Trophy

Finalist Trophy

Louis Breithaupt was educated at the University of Toronto and was a Kitchener alderman for four years. In 1923 he became the youngest mayor in the city’s history. Breithaupt was a Liberal Member of Parliament from 1940 to 1952 and served as the 18th Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Canada, from 1952 to 1957. The Louis Breithaupt Trophy was first awarded to Kingston in the 1967-68 season. It remains in circulation today.
