2012 High Performance 1 Clinics
The following High Performance 1 Seminars are being held in the summer of 2012:

Intro Coach [CHIP] Clinic - Minimum Age to attend

The minimum age to attend an Intro Coach [CHIP] Clinic is 14 years of age. Age determinations are made as of December 31 st of the current year. Individuals below age 16 would be granted ‘Associate’ status until they reach the age of 16, at which time they would be eligible to be fully certified and would be eligible to be rostered to a team, providing other Certification [ie. Speak Out!] is in place.

Intro Coach [CHIP] Associate Status - Rationale

The intent of this ‘Associate’ status provides an opportunity and encouragement to young potential future coaches to gain experience in assisting experienced Initiation Program [IP] Instructors. This enables these young people to serve as ‘assistant instructors’ and contribute toward the implementation and delivery of the Initiation Program in their Local Association while at the same time enhancing their personal development under the guidance of experienced IP Instructors.  Much like the IP itself for players it is hoped that this will serve as a formative initiation to coaching. Individuals holding Intro Coach ‘Associate Status’ are not able to be rostered to a team as a Team Official.
