Continuing Education Program [CEP] for Coaches

OMHA Coaches Certification expires every three [3] years [This applies to Coach Stream, Development 1 and Development 2 certification. Initiation [CHIP] and High Performance do not expire]. The OMHA launched the Continuing Education Program [CEP] for coaches during the 2007-2008 season. For the benefit of the player & coach, one-time certification of coaches for life is a thing of the past.

Coaches can renew their certification in two [2] ways: Attending a 4-hour Coach Refresher Workshop or meeting requirments of the Contiuing Education Program [CEP] and accrueing credit points by attending recognized Specialty Clinics, Conferences, and Seminars. In the future, we will look at new and innovative tools such as on-line learning.
