Mt Brydges Cougars Atom Gold

Tuesday, January 22, 2013

Mt Brydges, ON: -  Everyone who’s watched an interview of a NHL player during the hype of his career or when he’s winning the Stanley cup talk about how he got there. Who influenced him and the important parts of his hockey life playing as a kid. This is where it all begins.

Just outside of London is a small hockey league with some of the most passionate hockey players who have been playing their hearts out since the first puck dropped on October 5th 2012 vs the Strathroy rockets. The Atom Gold Mt Brydges Cougars are 22-0-1 so far this season and have finished 1st in the Glencoe Tournament, Third in the one day Aylmer tournament, and most recently Gold in the Motown Cup in Detroit. The kids just came home from playing in the finals of the Motown Cup with their hardest test yet this season. They had 2 wins, a loss, and a tie in the tournament and had to play their hearts out against the team that handed them the only loss in the tournament. And boy did they ever play hard. They had great goaltending, shut down defense, defensive minded centers and goal scoring wingers. Everyone on the team played the best game yet this season and their fans showed them how much they appreciated it by loud cheers from the stands.

These boys are really having one of the best seasons not just because they are winning games but because of the friendships that they are building that will last a lifetime.

Good luck to the Atom Gold Mt Brydges Cougars as they finish up the season in the next couple weeks and best of luck in the Playoffs.
