Monday, January 21, 2013 Welland, ON: - The Welland Bulletproof Baseball Midget "A" Tigers can now officially check off one of their "things to do" list this season after defeating the London Bandits 4-1 in the International Silver Stick Finals on Sunday in Sarnia. The Tigers defeated PAL Blue Knights, 6-1, Navy, 6-3 and Toronto Avalanche 9-5 in the round robin before defeating host`s Sarnia Sting in the semi`s 7-0. The Tiger`s qualified for the International after going 5-0-0 in the Pelham Regional over the Christmas holidays. Welland has compiled a winning record of 52-3-2 going into its final three games of the regular season before they begin their quest for an OMHA title and ultimate goal, the OHF Championship. Congratulation`s to Tyler Robbin`s and Captain Joe Duliban who were both named to the Silver Stick All Star Team. The Tigers would also like to congratulate the Welland Midget A/E`s who were recently crowned International Silver Stick Champions. Keep up the hard work Tiger`s, we aren`t done yet. Go Tigers!!!!!
