Midget AA Barrie Colts Win Glen Bellerby Memorial Tournament in Barrie

The Midget AA Barrie Colts went 4-0-1 this past weekend to win their host tournament.
The team began the round robin with a 2-2 tie against Streetsville with goals from Jamie Halnan and Zack Bertucca and assists to Justin Formenton and Jeff Regin.
Game two saw the Colts battle back late in the third period to defeat the Toronto Colts 2-1. Cailean Thornton-Wilson [penalty shot] and Brendan Riddall scored with an assist going to Regin.
Barrie won the third and final game of the round robin 5-1 over Chatham. Goal scorers were Riddall, Regin, Brady Hubbard, Matt Seeley and Regin. Assists went to Formenton [2], Zac Bertrand, Halnan, Jake McIntyre, Hubbard, Thornton-Wilson and Riddall.
In the semi-final match, Barrie squeaked out a 2-1 victory. Riddall and Brady Jacobs accounted for the two goals. McIntyre [2], Halnan and Seeley provided the assists.
Barrie met and defeated TNT 2-1 in the Championship game with goals from Formenton and Bertucca. Assists were from Jacobs and Thornton-Wilson.
Garrett Taylor and Cole Guthrie were strong between the pipes in all five tournament games.
