Detroit Red Wings Hold Special Coaching Clinic

Members of the Detroit Red Wings’ management, coaching and training staffs will be sharing their knowledge with local hockey enthusiasts on Sunday, November 18 during a special coaching clinic set to be staged at Joe Louis Arena. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. and wrapping up at 12:00 p.m. noon, clinic attendees will have the opportunity to learn from some of the most highly-regarded hockey minds in the world including 2012 Detroit Executives Association Executive of the Year Ken Holland and former Jack Adams Award nominee Mike Babcock.
Space for this clinic is limited and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Coaches interested in attending the clinic must register online at DetroitRedWings.com/CoachingClinic. 9:00 a.m. – Opening Address by Ken Holland, Executive Vice President & General Manager, Detroit Red Wings
9:15 a.m. – Goaltending 101 by Jim Bedard/Chris Osgood, Goaltending Coaches, Detroit Red Wings
9:30 a.m. – Training 101 by Piet Van Zant, Athletic Trainer, Detroit Red Wings
10:00 a.m. – Practice Structure 101 by Bill Peters, Assistant Coach, Detroit Red Wings
10:30 a.m. – Key Note Address by Mike Babcock, Head Coach of the Detroit Red Wings
11:00 a.m. – On-Ice Instruction with Detroit Red Wings coaching staff
12:00 p.m. – Closing Address
