Annual General Meeting

Countdown to 2017 OMHA Annual General Meeting



Every year delegates from across the OMHA meet in June to discuss the past year`s accomplishments, challenges, initiatives and more.  During these meetings, amendments to OMHA By-Laws and Regulations, for the upcoming season are also addressed.

Registration Fee: $56.50 per person 
Registration Deadline: June 1, 2017



The call for nominations for Board of Directors is included as an Action Bulletin dated January 31, 2017.  Additional nominations for election may be made by registered mail or equivalent not later than six weeks in advance of the Annual General Meeting. 


Notice of proposed amendments to By-Law One and to the Regulations must be made in writing, signed by a member in good standing and must be received by the Executive Director by registered mail or equivalent at least eight (8) weeks in advance of the Annual General Meeting at which they are to be considered.  The Executive Director shall notify members of the list of proposed amendments, by mail or equivalent, at least four (4) weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting. Please use this form and ensure your Notice of proposed Amendments is submitted in electronic format by the deadline. 


Rooms have been block booked for OMHA delegates who wish to reserve accommodations. This should be done as soon as possible by calling the Sheraton Parkway Hotel at 1.800.668.0101 or 905.882.3108 locally. The group rate is $149.00 at the Sheraton and $119.00 at the Best Western. Please be sure to identify yourself as being part of the ‘Ontario Minor Hockey Association – OMHA’ group when booking.

Business of Hockey Workshops

This year’s AGM will feature Association Leadership Seminars for OMHA Member Associations, which will focus on providing leaders in our game the opportunity for learning, sharing best practices, and peer networking.  These informative, interactive sessions will focus on supporting your Association team in providing the best experience for your members.  Scheduling allows individuals wishing to do so the option to attend more than one session.  Ensure the key leaders in your organization attend these sessions.  Complete program information and registration details will be posted when confirmed.


Make plans to attend this exciting event and join in celebrating the hockey season and recognizing excellence in the OMHA.

Hometown Hockey Consumers Show

The OMHA Consumer Show features over 50 exhibitors showcasing and selling their products.  Exhibitors range from Hockey Equipment Manufacturers to Fundraisers to Accommodation Providers.  There will also be interactive games and prizes.  Admission is free and the show is open to the general public.


The 2017 Ontario Minor Hockey Association Golf Tournament will be held at Wooden Sticks Golf Club. The tournament will take place on Friday June 9th and will kick start our Annual General Meeting. 

Wooden Sticks offers the ultimate golfing experience not currently found anywhere in the Ontario golf market. The course has brought together some of the most recognizable golf landscapes from the PGA and sculpted them into the spectacular scenery of the local area to produce 18 remarkable holes. Play golf holes inspired by Augusta, St. Andrews, Pine Valley, Carnoustie, TPC Sawgrass (famous par – 3 island green) and Oakmont.
